Serbia - unlike many other countries in the Balkans - didn´t wait for help from the EU when vaccines became accesible but also cooperated with China and Russia.
As a consequence more than 20 percent of the inhabitants were already vaccinated one time and 15 percent had gotten their second shot which temporarily put the country on the vaccination-toplists together with countries like Israel and the UK.

Even people from the neighbouring countries started coming to Serbia to get vaccinated.
